BI, Norway’s School of Management, allies with Mobiletech to boost the part time enrolments.
BI, one of the largest business schools in Europe, recently undertook an exclusively mobile campaign to increase enrolments for its part time business programmes.
Interested applicants could click on the BI mobile website to read about study programmes, learn about BI’s new internet study initiative, and request a course programme brochure. When users clicked on a link to request a programme, a request was made to a database to pre-populate their name and address. Users simply had to confirm their address and, in just one step, the prospectus was on its way to their home mailbox.
Why was the mobile channel chosen? It simply proved to be the most effective for the targeted market. This campaign was run during the summer holidays and also other times of the year, when mobile data traffic is high. People are out and away from their laptops and PC’s, and are more likely to use their mobile devices extensively. Easiness of the process of subscription motivated students to go ahead and order the study programme.
